Mandate is a group of married men Chikaogu Osssai-Ugbah mentors to assist them to grow all round. Emotionally, spiritually, financially, etc. Helping them to unpack and and leave a peaceful life.
The reason is that men have issues more than women if not more.

1. An average 12 men each day take their own lives,
2. 31% of men are too embarrassed to seek help for a mental health problem.
3. 80.6% male and 51.8% married persons while 40.3 % of suicides happen in semi-urban areas (Oyetunji, P.O, et Al, General Psychiatry, 13th January 2021)
4. 58% of global suicides occur before the age of 50 (Onozure, D, The Vanguard, 26th August 2021).
5. It is reported that 7 million Nigerians suffer from depression while Nigerians are most depressed people in Africa ( WHO 2017 report).
6. The current level of depression of married men in Nigeria is 5.2 % as against 2.7 % women.

Men are burden bearers, and hustlers, naturally “bottled up” and operate under a “high pressured” internal environment.
Sometimes all that a man wants is someone to tell them that it will be okay.
Therefore the need for a ManDate: where men learn how to love God and their family, laugh off stress and let off steam.
We had quite an engaging time with thirty men in our inaugural meeting.
The atmosphere was electric and the discussion engaging. What a relief.
